The Coral, Willow Song
Nice summer tune; some surf-esque guitar riffs and harmonies that make them sound like sinister Beach Boys.
Now that D. Chang has won “best chef in New York City”, I’m sure our chances of ever visiting Ko again have further decreased. I’ve been trying everyday to get a reservation for M’s bday and it’s MUCH harder than it was in April. The site is noticeably slower.
P.S. Kim Catrall co-hosted the event with Bobby Flay?! SATC mania has truly reached its zenith.
Yeah…another screen shot of the weather report. But I just can’t believe it’s 91 degrees at 8:30 p.m. Our poor little window unit is just chugging along. I expect it to explode at any minute.
Perfect music for a languorous summer evening. I feel like I should put on a white cotton nightie and sit on the stoop with an iced bourbon.
Nina Simone, I Put a Spell on You
Videos of dancers at the Lawn Party are up, if you are into that sort of thing.
Head song for Monday: Roxy Music, Oh Yeah
Not a bad way to start the week.
You could see the Queen Mary 2 from the island. It made us want to go on a transatlantic voyage, even though neither one of us is really into cruising.
All Jazz Age Lawn Party pictures can be found here. Featuring the dancers, vintage cars, and the buildings on the island.
