Scored a seat at the Bar to watch the game. (A minor miracle- St. James Gate is filling up fast!)

What an extravagant meal for a Tuesday! Rick met Chef Brad Farmerie during the wine and food festival a few weeks ago and took him up on an invitation to his restaurant. I think Rick brought me along since I can eat more than anyone he knows. We had a tasting menu— highlights included fried oyster in shiso leaf (must find shiso leaf for home use-yum!), cured wild boar and the snail and oxtail ravioli. A fantastic atmosphere, great wine pairings, our darling waiter, and the sticky toffee pudding rounded out the evening.

Technically for work, but I made sure to stroll around and look in every case.

I finally ate in the fabled basement last Friday. The food was decent, the atmosphere was fantastic and the company was stellar. Happy Birthday Leslie!
Wallace really needs a bath. He smells like a hamster that has been eating Fritos.
The head band from my costume is hanging in the bathroom and I keep gazing at it, contemplating when and where I can wear it again. Love!
Dinner: Tuna Casserole
I tried to simultaneously amp this old standard up and use things I had in the fridge. The combination of Emmentaler cheese and fresh tarragon made it a bit too sweet, but the texture is nice. A squeeze of lemon could remedy the situation.
