Rick came over for dinner and Herman bit him on the leg when he walked out of the kitchen. Fortunately, R had jeans on so it didn’t break the skin, but this dog’s mental state is deteriorating and it’s tearing me up. (He’s 13— an old 13, as he had a horrible life previous to being rescued.) I am at a loss. Do I get him a muzzle? Is that going to freak him out...

I am ridiculously out of the TV loop and I have never seen a 50” HD plasma in someone’s living room. I am frankly terrified. OMG! GIANT JALAPENO! and Alton Brown’s pores. I feel like a time traveler.

In kitchen: It’s still warm. Banana chocolate chip? Oh god. Cake. ...
